Deepening Session for Trainers on LGBTQIA+ Topics (in Dutch)

For those regularly leading sessions on LGBTQIA+ issues, encountering resistance from participants can be a familiar challenge. Movisie is hosting an in-depth session specifically for trainers, moderators, and facilitators in this field on Thursday, 21 November.

About the SessionThis session addresses how to handle difficult situations, such as disruptions, disengagement, or even offensive remarks during LGBTQIA+ awareness training. It’s the second of two workshops aimed at helping professionals manage complex dynamics confidently.

Led by Hanneke Felten, senior project leader and researcher in effective discrimination reduction, and Fayaaz Joemmanbaks, senior researcher and project leader in anti-discrimination initiatives, both from Movisie and the Knowledge Platform Inclusive Society (KIS).

Session InformationThe first session, held on 3 October, focused on managing resistance in training settings. The upcoming session on 21 November will explore intersectionality and effective approaches for intersectional interventions, with interactive exercises, practical examples, and shared experiences among participants.

Movisie frequently receives questions about best practices for inclusive training and aims to connect with trainers through these sessions. This free, online event is an opportunity for LGBTQIA+ professionals to exchange insights and strengthen skills together.
