Film: Woman Of… (2023)

Set against the backdrop of Poland's transformation from communism to capitalism, Woman Of… covers 45 years in the life of Aniela Wesoly. Aniela has lived more than half her adult life as a man in a Polish provincial town. The journey to personal freedom as a trans woman reveals difficulties in marriage and parenthood, tense family relationships and complicated attitudes in her environment, which constantly place her in impossible situations. What choices will Aniela have to make? Will she be willing to sacrifice everything to become who she really is?
