Evening Program:
- Spoken Word: Sandro van der Leeuw
- Ambient Performance: Ruisvogel
- Cocktails & Beats: Close the night with drinks and dancing to the tunes of DJ Beftex.
About the Artists:
Ruisvogel - Ambient PerformanceRuisvogel is the ambient music project of Rotterdam-based musician Daanie van den IJssel (they/them). Using analog tape loops and evocative drones, Ruisvogel creates immersive soundscapes that are dark and haunting, inviting listeners to escape societal pressures. Their music serves as a refuge, providing space for introspection and freedom from external expectations.
Jesse van den Berg - Visual ArtJesse van den Berg (they/them) is an artist who explores queerness with a focus on intimacy. Their work delves into the intersection of vulnerability and joy, using lens-based media to capture unique perspectives. Jesse emphasizes the power dynamics in the creative process and seeks to translate intimacy into material and installation experiences.
Sandro van der Leeuw - Performance/Visual ArtSandro van der Leeuw (he/him) is a writer, actor, and visual artist with a background in children's literature. His work highlights the vulnerability of humans as (a)sexual beings, often challenging and thought-provoking. Sandro has performed at major events like Amsterdam Museum Night and Lowlands, and he is currently working on his debut novel.
